Wanda Vanlatte (Actuary)
_
How did such a savvy business woman happen to stumble upon everyone else’s secrets that could potentially end their careers? Wanda’s got the dirt on everyone, maybe she should have been a reporter, but money and numbers were always her passion, which is why she became an actuary. Wanda, while alive, held the accounts for Teresa, who is a lawyer, and Robert, who is an apothecary. While handling their accounts, she started noticing that the numbers were larger than they should have been across the board for each of them, and then that there was a link between them. The story just continued to become thicker and thicker, with many ways that Wanda could benefit from their wrong doings.

Robert (Apothecary)
Robert works for Medicine for Healthy Bodies, Incorporated. He had a successful trial run of his new drug, and it was finally approved for distribution to potential clients and doctors offices. A retired friend of his told him of a way to make double his profit, and it was a risk that was worth the taking. All he would have to do is cut the drugs quantity, but sell it at the same price. The payoff would be double, but the risk was everything; his career, reputation, and possible jail time. At the same time, Robert needed to get his drug copyrighted, and Teresa was recommended to him, at a pharmacists’ conference, as just the person to conduct this particular business.
Teresa (Lawyer)
Teresa had worked her way up to working with large pharmaceutical companies and was introduced to Robert through Claude, one of her close business partners, at the annual Pharmacists’ Conference. After conferencing with Robert, she agreed to take on the licensing of his new drug so that Medicine for Healthy Bodies, Inc. could have sole rights to it. Soon after, Claude contacted Teresa with a monetary proposition that could not be refused. All she had to do now was give Claude the recipe for the new drug so that his company could copy it.
Yolanda (Reporter)
_Yolanda
has been a reporter for quite awhile, but there is no such thing as job
security. There is always some young,
motivated, and manipulative reporter trying to come up the ladder, by stepping
on the unsuspecting, helpful person, who does not realize that they are
training their replacement. But, Yolanda
had been that person, years ago and knew how to look out for that type. She had her own means of staying in her
place. She got a tip from a reliable
contact that Wanda Vanlatte was a person of high interest. After some investigation, Yolanda found that
there was indeed a story surrounding Wanda, but she could not get the hard
facts yet, and her deadline was approaching to turn in her story. Something that she did not want to resort to,
but had done once before was ‘borrowing’ a story, which some consider plagiarizing.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and there was a story about Wanda
already out there that had been published a while ago, so that is the story
that she gave to her editor. About a
week later, Yolanda got an email from Wanda stating, “I know what you have
done, and if you print another story about me I will turn you in to your
editor.” Yolanda had to figure out what
her next move was, because she knew this story would be much more than she
imagined.
