Two is a crowd, but Three makes this business work.
Every investigation has a beginning and yours needs to start with the background information of your victim and potential suspects. Make sure you read the Background Information File, below titled Who's who?
Background Information File: Who's Who?
Remember that the blizzard will not last forever, in fact, the forecast says it is only supposed to last for three days. Time is precious, so you and your team members need to work efficiently to solve the crime. First, your detective agency agents will need to be given their expert responsibilities for this mystery. Each team member needs to start by selecting one of the following roles.

Time is precious, so you and your team members need to work efficiently to solve the crime. First, your detective agency agents will need to be given their expert responsibilities for this mystery. Each team member needs to start by selecting one of the following roles.
Inductive Reasoner
Inductive Reasoner: Geometry, like much of science and mathematics, was developed partly as a result of people recognizing and describing patterns. You use inductive reasoning when you find a pattern in specific cases and then write a conjecture for the general case. Remember that to show a conjecture is true, you must show that it is true for all cases. You can show that a conjecture is false, however, by simply finding one counterexample. (A counterexample is a specific case for which the conjecture is false.) Your job will be to research similar cases and make a conjecture about the murder of Wanda the actuary.
Deductive Reasoner
Deductive Reasoner: Deductive reasoning uses facts, definitions, accepted properties, and the laws of logic to form a logical argument. This is different from inductive reasoning, which uses specific examples and patterns to form a conjecture. The laws of logic include, the law of detachment and the law syllogism. The law of detachment states that 'if the hypothesis of a true conditional statement is true, then the conclusion is also true.' The law of syllogism states that if the two first if-then statements are true then the their conclusion statement is also true. The law of detachment is also called a direct argument. The law of syllogism is sometimes called the chain rule. Your job will be to research the facts and accepted statements of the murder mystery, then apply the laws of logic to make a valid conclusion of who killed Wanda the acturary.
Truth Table Expert
Truth Table Expert: Conditional statements can be written using symbolic notation, where letters are used to represent statements. The truth value of a statement is either true (T) or false (F). You can determine the conditions under which a conditional statement is true by using a truth table. A conditional statement and its contrapositive are equivalent statements because they have the same truth table. The same is true of the converse and the inverse. Your job will be to research, analyze and create truth tables.

Thank goodness for technology; iphone4's are the new computers. Once each member has gathered their research and come to their expert conclusions, each team member will bring their perspective to the group and share their findings. Information sharing will include the following:
Time to State the Truth: Symbolic Notation and the Truth
From the information given, each team should develop a truth statement describing the conclusion to the murder mystery, which they came up with. The truth statement should be accompanied by an analysis of what it means, so that your next client will be able to understand how you became such a successful detective.
Time to Attract New Clients
